Your Hobby

This may seem relatively obvious, but blogging about a hobby is a great way to blog. There are lots of people out there looking to try new things but often they have no idea where to start or where to find necessary information. Sometimes people are just looking for inspiration.

Whatever your hobby is: fishing, boating, beading, sewing, collecting - whatever - you can guarantee that there are others interested in what you do. They may just want to see a bit of your work or hear some of your story or they may want to learn the hobby for themselves. Whatever their interest, you can provide them with something of value.

Taking the time to blog about your hobby can also be a good way to keep track of your own personal progress. Over time details of particular events or projects can get a little hazy, and having a blog that you can refer to over time is a wonderful way to be able to travel back through time and see the neat things that you have done.

Your Favorite Video Game

There must be a million World of Warcraft blogs out there. Some of them are quite good. Others are downright drivel. But there are also another million games out there that don't have quite so many blogs.

Which of these games is your favorite? Which of these games keeps you up late at night when your wife would rather that you were sleeping?

What is your favorite part of the game? Do you know any cheats or shortcuts? Any hints, tips, or have you written any notes about the game of importance?

Then write up you blog. Post it for the world to read and let us enjoy it. Maybe it is some little known game from yesteryear. Or perhaps it is the latest and greatest in console technology. Whatever it is, share it with us. I'm sure someone out there will be interested to hear.

There has to be a million quotes of the day out there. Some are funny. Some are serious. Many make us stop and think.

What is your quote of the day? Where did you find it? Why is it important to you? What about it stuck with you.

Put the quote up on your blog and then let us know why that quote is so important to you. Odds are good that the same quote will have a similar meaning or similar importance to someone else out there. That someone may want to share their story as well.

A quote of importance is a good place to start if you are falling short of ideas for blogging.

Blog About Your Job

If you are employed, and most of us are (well, fewer and fewer of late), but most of us have a job or have had a job somewhere along the line, and there are others out there with the same job or who want to have that job someday.

So why not blog about your job?

Blog about what you did at work today or last week or last year.

Blog about your big promotion (or demotion). Blog about your bonus, your industry, your horrid manager. Let the world know what it is you do and why you do it. What did it take for you to get there are what makes you stick with it. If it is something you truly enjoy, then let the world know. If it is something you hate, then vent a bit.
